Hip

Together, your hip and pelvis are the junction point and link between your lower and upper body.  The hip joint is the major joint of locomotion for the body, and all the forces of the upper body and gravity are transferred to the pelvis from the lower back. If something isn’t functioning as it should, it can cause restriction, pain and fatigue.

Hip pain can arise at any age – whether due to over-exertion, an arthritic condition, or as a complication of pregnancy or child birth.  Problems in the hip joint can refer pain to the buttock, groin or leg and, similarly, pain felt in your hip may actually stem from a problem in your pelvis or back.

At iOsteopath, we’ll provide a tailored solution to restore your mobility and keep you moving – whether you’re popping to the shops or running a marathon.

Knee

Whether caused by sprinting for a personal best or the last bus, the knee is one of the most commonly injured joints in the human body. As a major weight-bearing joint, knee pain can be debilitating, but it doesn’t have to force you to watch from the sidelines.

Stiffness, aching, pain, locking, swelling, limping and difficulty fully straightening or bending the knee are all symptoms that can occur through sporting injuries caused by a sudden increase in running mileage, a change in footwear or insufficient warm up, or the wear and tear of daily life. With the proper diagnosis and care, we’ll get you back in the game.

Ankle and Foot

Whether you’re headed to the shops or the finish line, your feet and ankles can take a lot of punishment – we can help you to stay in the race.

Made up of 28 bones, the foot is a complex area of the body that can be the source of a range of problems. From common injuries such as plantar fasciitis – also known as ‘jogger’s heel’ – which is a pain in the sole of the foot that is classically worse in the first few steps taken in the morning or after resting, to tendinopathy, which is inflammation or tears in the tissue of the Achilles tendon, our team have the experience to diagnose and the skills to treat a wide range of common injuries, getting you back on your feet and back to your best as soon as possible.
